Last updated: March 31, 2026
Palo Alto Tennis ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Palo Alto Tennis, we collect the following information:
- Phone number — used for account authentication via one-time passcode (OTP)
- Name — displayed to other players when you match
- NTRP skill level — used to match you with players of similar ability
- Preferred courts — used to match you with nearby players
- Match activity — broadcasts you create or accept
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the core matchmaking service:
- Authenticate your identity via phone number verification
- Match you with other players based on skill level and court preferences
- Send push notifications about match requests and updates
- Share your name and phone number with players you match with so you can coordinate
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your information is only shared in the following limited circumstances:
- With matched players — when you accept a match, your name and phone number are shared with the match organizer, and vice versa
- Service providers — we use Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and serverless functions. Supabase processes your data on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policy
- Apple Push Notification service — to deliver match notifications to your device
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access or disclosure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your profile information for as long as your account is active. Match broadcast data is short-lived and is automatically removed after the broadcast expires. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our systems.
